On 13 August, Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union, paid a courtesy call on Amb. Evgeny Terekhi, the Russian representative to the African Union.

Amb. Jiang noted that China and Russia have developed the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination. He stood ready to maintain close working contact with Amb. Terekhi and strengthen the communication and cooperation through multilateral platforms such as the African Union.

Amb. Terekhi welcomed Amb. Jiang's assumption of his new post. In this important year of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War, he also expressed his expectations on promoting communication and coordination with China on Africa-related issues, to contribute to Africa's peaceful development.
