On September 5th 2025, the Permanent Mission of China held the Concert to Commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the World Anti-Fascist War, and the Founding of the United Nations at the UN Headquarters in Vienna.

In his remarks, Ambassador LI Song introduced the address by President Xi Jinping at the Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the Global Governance Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping. Ambassador LI expressed that China always stands firmly on the right side of history, practicing true multilateralism, and will always be a trustworthy partner to the UN.

The Vienna Chinese Philharmonic Choir, the outstanding violinist HE Ziyu from China and the UN Choir Vienna jointly presented a grand musical gala. The guests were deeply moved by the strong passions of patriotism and the inspiring multilateral spirit of openness and inclusiveness. All parties highly recognize the Global Governance Initiative, and express the expectation that China make greater contributions to maintaining world peace, promoting development and prosperity, as well as improving and strengthening global governance.
