On September 7th, the Chinese Embassy in Liberia held the reception to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. More than 400 people attended the reception, including H.E. Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia, His Honor Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay, Chief Justice of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Rev. Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Liberia, and members of the diplomatic corps in Liberia.

In his speech, Ambassador Yin reviewed the development achievements of the People’s Republic of China, noted the new progress in the strategic partnership between China and Liberia, and emphasized that the Chinese people made tremendous sacrifices during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, contributing greatly to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. Ambassador Yin also made a presentation of the "Global Governance Initiative" .

President Boakai extended congratulations on China’s National Day, stating that the hard-won victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War should be remembered. He spoke highly of China’s tremendous sacrifices in safeguarding human freedom, peace, and justice. He noted that Liberia and China have enjoyed long-standing friendly relations, and expressed gratitude for China’s support. Liberia firmly adheres to the one-China principle and is willing to deepen cooperation and pursue common development with China.
The atmosphere at the reception was warm and friendly. Guests attentively viewed the exhibition of photos about the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, expressing that they were deeply moved.
