On October 25 and 26, 2025, Consul General Xu Wei visited Darya and Sobhe Sahel, two leading media outlets in southern Iran, and met with their directors. Consul General Xu introduced the principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and exchanged views on strengthening media cooperation and local exchanges.

Consul General Xu noted that the Fourth Plenary Session deliberated and adopted the proposals for China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, outlining a blueprint for high-quality development over the next five years and creating new opportunities for global growth. He emphasized that the media serves as an important channel for enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Iran. China is ready to give full play to the role of the media, deepen local exchanges and cooperation, and promote the sustained and steady growth of the China–Iran comprehensive strategic partnership.
The directors of both media outlets commended China’s remarkable development achievements in recent years, noting that China’s experience in state governance offers valuable insights for other countries. They expressed their readiness to maintain close communication with China, promote Iran–China friendship, support local cooperation, and contribute to the further development of bilateral relations.
