On October 26, Ambassador Cong Peiwu met with H.E.Dr. Aliakbar Velayati, Advisor on International Affairs to the Supreme Leader of Iran.

Ambassador Cong introduced the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, stating that as great changes unseen in a century accelerate, the significance of China-Iran relations becomes increasingly prominent. China is willing to work with Iran to continuously deepen bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation。

Velayati spoke highly of China's development achievements and said Iran attaches great importance to developing relations with China, and is willing to further deepen its comprehensive strategic partnership with China.
