On October 29, 2025, Consul General Fu Lihua visited Chung Wah Community Care (CWCC) and celebrated the Double Ninth Festival with WA senior Chinese compatriots. Fu delivered a speech alongside Mr. Yuan Haobo, President of the Chung Wah Association and Ms.Theresa Kwo, CEO of the CWCC. The nursing volunteer team performed traditional Chinese music and martial arts.

Consul General Fu extended festive greetings and best wishes to the senior Chinese compatriots on the occasion of the Double Ninth Festival, highlighted the elderly Chinese compatriots’ positive roles played in contributing to WA’s economic growth and multiculturalism development with the spirits of resilience and perseverance, and briefed China’s achievements in high-quality development of undertakings for the aged. Fu presented them with refreshments and fruits and had a warm conversation with them. Fu also Acknowledged the Chung Wah Association’s long-standing efforts in caring the aged, showcasing the Chinese tradition of respecting, caring and helping the aged.

The CWCC was established in 1984 and regularly serves over 1200 senior Chinese.
