Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Guo Haiyan Introduces China's Poverty Reduction Experience to the United Democratic Alliance

On November 4, Ambassador Guo Haiyan visited the headquarters of the United Democratic Alliance and introduced China's poverty alleviation experience in connection with the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The event was attended by Senator Hassan Omar Hassan, the Secretary-General of the United Democratic Alliance, and about  40 senior party officials and National Assembly members of UDA.

Ambassador Guo briefed the participants on the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party and gave a detailed introduction to the history, theories, practices, and experience of China's poverty reduction efforts, as well as China’s contributions to the global cause of poverty reduction by sharing data analysis, case studies, and interactive Q&A sessions. Ambassador Guo emphasized that the leadership of the Communist Party of China was the fundamental institutional guarantee for China's success in  poverty reduction and achieving high-quality development. China is ready to enhance exchanges on governance experience with Kenya, deepen practical cooperation, and jointly build a China-Kenya community with a shared future in the new era.

Senator Omar expressed congratulations on the success of the Fourth Plenary Session, spoke highly of China's efforts and achievements in poverty reduction and expressed appreciation for China's assistance in Kenya's economic development and improvement of people's well being. The Kenyan side expressed hope to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China on poverty reduction to contribute to the development of bilateral relations.
