On November 5, H.E. Chu Maoming, Chinese Ambassador to Dominica, held a press briefing for Dominican media outlets on the key outcomes of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. Journalists from GIS, DBS, Kairi FM, The Chronicle, Nature Isle News and EMONEWS attended the event.

Ambassador Chu gave a brief overview of China’s major achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and focused on explaining the main goals, strategic tasks and main measures for China’s economic and social development during the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan period. He noted that in the next five years, China will continue to advance high-level opening-up, uphold green development, and further contribute to improve global governance. Ambassador Chu emphasized that China stands ready to work with Dominica to implement the important consensus reached between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Dominican President Sylvanie Burton, strengthen practical cooperation in various fields, and ensure that the achievements of Chinese modernization and the China–Dominica friendship bring tangible benefits to the Dominican people.
After the briefing, Ambassador Chu took questions from journalists and exchanged views on topics including the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, China’s foreign policy, and China–Dominica bilateral relations.
