On November 11, Ambassador Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the Africa CDC annual laboratory symposium. State Minister of Health of Ethiopia Dr Duguma, Permanent Secretary of Health of Uganda Dr Atwin, officials from African health ministries, experts and representatives of international partners participated in the meeting.

Ambassador Jiang stated that China commends the Africa CDC's efforts in implementing the "New Public Health Order for Africa", making significant contributions to strengthening the resilience of Africa's public health system. China will actively implement the FOCAC Beijing Summit "Health Partnership Initiative", continue to support the development of Africa CDC, and enhance the public health capabilities of African countries, to provide a solid guarantee for Africa's modernization, and to jointly build a China-Africa health community for all.

The symposium is held in Addis Ababa and lasts for three days.
