On November 10, 2025, Consul General in Willemstad Zhang Kaibin paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Luc Mercelina. Chief of Staff Stuart Johnson and Acting Director of the Directorate of Foreign Relations Angelique Gumbs were present.

Consul General Zhang briefed the guiding principles set forth in the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He stated that China stands ready to strengthen friendly exchanges and cooperation with Sint Maarten, share opportunities and pursue common development with Sint Maarten and the rest of the world, and advance the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

Prime Minister Mercelina spoke highly of China's development achievements and important concepts, expressing the willingness to deepen practical cooperation with China and promote new progress in bilateral relations.
