On November 24, H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing attended and delivered a keynote speech at the China Ambassador Scholarship Award Ceremony at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). Present were UNIMAS Board of Directors Chairman Tan Sri Sulong Matjeraie and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ahmad Hata Rasit, along with faculty members and students, among over 150 guests, accompanied by Chinese Consul-General in Kuching Xing Weiping.

Ambassador Ouyang said that China-Malaysia relations have always forged ahead in a steady manner surrounding shared destiny, shared prosperity, and people-to-people connectivity. This year, President Xi Jinping made a state visit to Malaysia, during which the two countries announced the joint building of a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future, marking a new leap forward in bilateral relations.
He added that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China stands ready to work with Malaysia to deepen strategic alignment, continuously advance cooperation in education, scientific research, and youth exchanges, so as to constantly bring about new results in win-win cooperation. Ambassador Ouyang also exchanged conversations with the Chinese international students on the campus.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ahmad Hata thanked Chinese Embassy for its long-term support and assistance, and expressed his hope to further expand cooperation with China in the fields of education and science and technology innovation.
