On December 3, 2025, His Excellency Wang Jinfeng, Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica, attended the handover ceremony for the grant assistance and donation of humanitarian items by the Government of the People’s Republic of China to the Government of Jamaica, and gave a speech. Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica, Mr. Arvin Gayle, the Director General of the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management attended the ceremony and delivered remarks. Ambassador Sheila Monteith, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade attended.
