Consul & Head of Post of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag Li Xiaoyan Pays Courtesy Call on Mayor Bonoan of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte

On December 15, 2025, Consul & Head of Post Li Xiaoyan of the Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Laoag, paid a courtesy call on Mayor Bonoan of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte.
Li shared insights on the outcomes of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, highlighting China’s latest development achievements. She expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Municipality of San Nicolas for its long-standing support over the years. Li emphasized her commitment to working closely with the municipal government to deepen practical cooperation, strengthen cultural exchanges, and foster people-to-people ties. She warmly invited Mayor Bonoan to visit China again.
Mayor Bonoan welcomed Li to the Philippines to assume her new post, and recalled his five visits to China over the past three decades. He spoke sincerely of his admiration for China’s remarkable progress and inspiring changes he has witnessed firsthand. He affirmed the municipality’s willingness to collaborate closely with the Chinese Consulate to enhance mutual understanding and promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between San Nicolas and cities in China.
