On December 23, Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing attended the handover ceremony for the auxiliary works of the technical assistance project for the China-aided comprehensive sports complex in Samoa.The Associate Minister of Sports and Recreation of Samoa Fiu Faaolatane Ponifasio Vasa, experts from the Chinese technical team and representatives from the auxiliary works management team participated in the event.

Fiu expressed gratitude for China's assistance in supporting the development of sports in Samoa, and assured the project would deliver benefits and serve the people. Ambassador Fei stated that sports is an important aspect of practical cooperation between two countries. The comprehensive sports complex stands as a testament to China-Samoa friendship. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, China is ready to work with the Samoan side to strengthen cooperation and elevate bilateral ties to new heights.
