From December 5 to 7, Ambassador Yang Xiaokun conducted a visit to the Chinese Community in Mokhotlong District. He was accompanied by Chen Kehui, President of the Lesotho Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification China ; Chen Bangzhong, President of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce In Lesotho; Wu Mingsi, President of the Lesotho Chinese Community & Police Cooperation Center.

Ambassador Yang visited supermarkets, warehouses, and other businesses operated by the Chinese community to experience their living and working conditions. He listened to their concerns, praised their hard work, courage, pioneering spirit, and their fine traditions of patriotism and mutual support. He encouraged the younger generation to continue serving as bridges for people-to-people exchanges between China and Lesotho, ensuring the long-standing friendship between the two countries is carried forward. The Embassy, he stressed, will continue to uphold the principle of “diplomacy for the people” and spare no effort in safeguarding the safety, legitimate rights and interests of Chinese Community in Lesotho.

Local Chinese community members expressed heartfelt gratitude for Ambassador Yang’s efforts in traveling across difficult high-altitude terrain to visit them. They said they would remain committed to the motherland, stay united, operate in compliance with local laws, and contribute actively to the friendship between China and Lesotho.
