On 13 January 2026, Consul General Mr. Liu Jun met with Mr. Zagros Rashid, Chief Executive Officer of Kurdsat Broadcasting Corporation.

Consul General Liu noted that the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC has outlined a comprehensive blueprint for China’s development over the next five years. He expressed the hope that Kurdsat would continue to actively carry out China-related reporting and present an objective and accurate image of China to audiences in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Mr. Rashid noted that over the past year, Kurdsat has dispatched journalists to China on multiple occasions for reporting and study visits, gaining a comprehensive understanding of China’s modernization path. He expressed readiness to further deepen cooperation with Chinese media outlets, learn from China’s experience, and contribute to local economic and social development.
