On January 22, 2026, His Excellency Wang Jinfeng, Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica, attended the award ceremony of the 2026 Chinese Ambassador’s Scholarship at Northern Caribbean University and delivered a speech. The Honourable Garfield S. Green, Custos Rotulorum for the Parish of Manchester, Dr. Charlene Sharpe, Associate Provost for University Administration and representing President of the University, and other senior staff members of the University attended the ceremony.
