On March 3, 2026, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen was invited to attend the "Raise the Red Lantern" Chinese New Year celebration held by San Pedro College and delivered a speech. More than one hundred faculty and students from San Pedro College participated in the event.

Before the event, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen met with Dr. June L. Prieto, Director of the Internationalization and Linkages Office of the College. Both sides expressed their willingness to maintain communication to strengthen educational and cultural exchanges between universities of the two countries.

The event featured lively and festive cultural activities such as dragon dance performances and lantern riddle guessing games, which were warmly welcomed by faculty and students and received enthusiastic responses.
