On March 9, 2026, Ambassador Ma Shengkun met with President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennadiy Chizhikov and Head of the Ukrainian section of the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council Gennadiy Zubko, and exchanged in-depth views on economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Ma introduced China's development achievements along with its reform and opening-up policies, encouraging the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council to fully leverage their role as bridges. He expressed hope that they would wholeheartedly serve enterprises of both countries and promote practical, mutually beneficial cooperation in the economic and trade sectors.

The other side stated that they will fully leverage the platforms of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council, maximizing the advantages of their commercial networks to provide support and assistance for exchanges and cooperation between enterprises of the two countries.
