On March 5, 2026, H.E. Mr. Jia Guide, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, met with H.E. Ms. Larysa Belskaya, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus.

Ambassador Jia noted that, China and Belarus are all-weather comprehensive strategic partners, and that cooperation across various fields has been progressing smoothly. At present, the world has entered a new period of turbulence and transformation. Regional conflicts are emerging one after another, and multilateralism is facing serious challenges. China stands ready to continue strengthening communication and coordination with Belarus on multilateral platforms such as the Human Rights Council, with a view to promoting the building of a more just and equitable global governance system.
Ambassador Belskaya stated that, China has adhered to a just position in international affairs, remained committed to multilateralism. the Global Governance Initiative proposed by China are in line with the shared expectations of Global South countries and Belarus highly commends and supports it. Belarus stands ready to continue deepening cooperation with China on multilateral platforms in Geneva and jointly safeguard multilateralism.
