Chinese Ambassador-Designate to Sweden Zhou Limin Arrives in Sweden

On March 12, 2026, Mr. Zhou Limin, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Sweden, arrived in Sweden to assume office. Ambassador Zhou was greeted at the airport by officials from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden and senior diplomats from the Chinese Embassy in Sweden.

Ambassador Zhou stated in his written remarks that China and Sweden have a long history of friendly relations. Over the past 76 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, China-Sweden relations have maintained steady development on the whole, bringing benefits to both countries and peoples, and making important contributions to world peace and prosperity. In this turbulent and changing world, China stands ready to work together with all countries, including Sweden, to send a strong message in support of openness and cooperation, and to bring more stability, certainty, and positive energy to the world. As the new Ambassador, he will work hand in hand with all sectors of the Swedish society to carry forward traditional friendship, enhance political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, and promote people-to-people exchanges, so as to keep moving China-Sweden relations forward. 

Ambassador Zhou Limin is the 22nd Chinese Ambassador to Sweden.
