On March 16, H.E. Shen Bo, Chinese Ambassador to the Netherlands visited the headquarters of Philips in Amsterdam and met with Mr. Roy Jakobs, Chief Executive Officer of Philips. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on economic and trade relations, cooperation in the healthcare industry of the two countries, and Philips’business development in China.

Ambassador Shen briefed Mr. Roy Jakobs of the outcomes of recently concluded China’s Two Sessions, as well as the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan. He noted that China will continue to pursue high-level opening up and welcomes Dutch companies, including Philips, to further expand their presence in the Chinese market, deepen cooperation with China in the areas such as medical technology, digital health, and innovative R&D, and share in China’s development opportunities.

Jakobs said that Philips is optimistic about China’s economic prospects and will continue to expand its business presence in China, promote innovation in medical technology, and contribute to the development of bilateral relations and global health.
