On April 8, 2026, Ambassador Kang Yan paid a courtesy call on Mr. Borut Sajovic, Minister of Defence of Slovenia, upon assuming her post.

Ambassador Kang briefed Minister Sajovic on China’s defense policy and military thought, as well as its contributions to upholding world peace and stability.Minister Sajovic spoke positively of China-Slovenia relations and expressed willingness to maintain dialogue and communication with China to jointly uphold regional stability and world peace.

The two sides exchanged views on international and regional situations of common concern.
