Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing Attends the Official Opening Ceremony of TCM Clinic and Presentation of Donation from 24th Chinese Medical Team

On April 28, Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing attended the official opening ceremony of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinic and the presentation of donation from the 24th Chinese Medical Team (CMT). The event was also joined by Minister of Health of Samoa Va'aaoao Saumalo Alofipo, representatives from the Tupua Tamasese Meaole (TTM) Hospital, doctors of the 24th CMT, as well as members of the Chinese community in Samoa.

Ambassador Fei stated that starting from 1986, Chinese Medical Team members and their Samoan counterparts have worked in close partnership over the past 40 years to foster a China-Samoa community of health. The official opening of the TCM Clinic at TTM Hospital represents a milestone in our bilateral medical and health collaboration. China stands ready to further strengthen such collaboration, building a closer China-Samoa comprehensive strategic partnership.

Minister Va'aaoao thanked China for its support to Samoa's medical and health development, acknowledged the efforts of the 24th CMT, and voiced his hope for deeper cooperation with China in the health sector to bring more benefits to the Samoan people.

Dr. Cong Xiaoqiang, team leader of the 24th CMT and Dr. Xu Dan, TCM specialist made presentations about the TCM Clinic and the donated equipment to the attendees.
