On April 22, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan visited the headquarters of the Handball Federation of North Macedonia and met with Mr. Aleksandar Stefanov, President of the Federation.

Mr. Stefanov welcomed the delegation sent by the Chinese School Sports Federation to participate in the World School Handball Championship in Skopje, and expected to further strengthen sports and people-to-people exchanges with China.

Ambassador Jiang noted that China’s 15th Five-Year Plan underscores the development of mass sports and youth fitness, and incorporates nationwide fitness initiatives and the building of a “Healthy China” into national strategy. She stated that China stands ready to enhance exchanges and cooperation with North Macedonia, support the promotion of youth handball, foster friendship through sports, cultivate teamwork and perseverance, and strengthen people-to-people bonds.
