On April 20 and 21, H.E. Amb. Yang Xiaokun visited and consoled Chinese enterprises in Mokhotlong. Ambassador Yang respectively toured the Polihali Transfer Tunnel and Dam project sites, inspected construction progress and safety measures, sat down with enterprise representatives of Yellow River Corporation, Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 8 Corporation, Sinohydro Bureau 3 Corporation and Sinohydro Bureau 14 Corporation, listened to project leaders’ updates, and extended warm greetings to frontline workers.

Ambassador Yang fully affirmed the significant progress made in project construction. He emphasized that, as China’s largest contracted projects  in Lesotho to date, the two projects are of great significance to Lesotho’s social and economic development as well as to China-Lesotho bilateral relations. He also required the enterprises to strictly control project quality, fulfill contract obligations with high standards, strengthen work safety management, operate in compliance with laws and regulations, and actively fulfill social responsibilities.
