On April 28 and 29, Consul General Li Nan attended the 2026 International Chinese Language Day Performing Arts Tour, themed "Together in Harmony, Youth in Motion", held in Belfast and Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Nearly 500 people attended, including Belfast Deputy Mayor Cllr. Paul Doherty, Derry/Londonderry Mayor Cllr. Ruairí McHugh, Ulster University Pro Vice-Chancellor Turner, Provost Cathy, representatives of Northern Ireland teachers and students.

In his speech, Consul General Li introduced the origins of International Chinese Language Day, affirmed the progress made in Chinese language teaching, expressed his hopes for the development of Chinese language education in Northern Ireland, and invited the everyone to take full advantage of China's visa-free policy for British passport holders to visit China, experiencing firsthand the profoundness and unique charm of the Chinese language.

The South-Central Minzu University Performance Troupe showcased programs featuring rich Chinese ethnic elements, creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere. An "International Chinese Language Day" themed exhibition was also displayed at the event.
