On 12 May 2026, Ambassador Wang Xiaolong attended the luncheon hosted by the New Zealand International Business Forum, where he delivered remarks and engaged in discussions with Forum Chair Philip Gregan and board members.

In his speech, Ambassador Wang highlighted the positive trajectory of China’s economic growth and outlined the priorities of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan. He also proposed further China–New Zealand cooperation in the areas of green development, innovation and openness. Ambassador Wang welcomed New Zealand companies to continue expanding in the Chinese market and expressed hope that Chinese enterprises would better contribute to New Zealand’s economic development, so as to achieve mutual benefit and shared growth.
Established in June 2007, the New Zealand International Business Forum comprises leading enterprises from New Zealand’s dairy, meat, seafood, fruit, wine and services sectors.
