On April 16, 2026, Ambassador Zhou Limin met with Ms. Michaela Hollis, State Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs of Sweden. The two sides held an in-depth exchange of views on promoting China-Sweden practical cooperation in the field of health. Mr. Cui Yuting, Counsellor for Science and Technology Affairs at the Chinese Embassy, attended the meeting.

Ambassador Zhou stated that China and Sweden share broad common interests in the field of health and social affairs, with long-standing cooperation continuing to deepen. He noted that, through joint efforts in areas such as personnel exchanges, precision medicine, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and cutting-edge life sciences, health cooperation between the two countries is reaching new heights.
State Secretary Hollis said that China-Sweden health cooperation has delivered remarkable outcomes, which is highly valued by both sides. She expressed her expectations to further expand the scope of cooperation while maintaining and deepening constructive dialogue for the benefit of both countries and peoples. She also affirmed readiness to open a new chapter of collaboration on past achievements.
