On June 28, Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives H.E. Kong Xianhua attended the ceremony marking the 93rd anniversary of the Maldives Police Service.

President of the Maldives H.E. Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed attended the ceremony, where the President delivered remarks. Minister of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology H.E. Ali Ihusaan, Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed, senior government officials, heads of national institutions, and members of the diplomatic corps in the Maldives were also present.

During the ceremony, the Maldives Police Service presented a Shield of Appreciation to the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives in recognition of China’s positive contributions to promoting China-Maldives police exchanges and cooperation and supporting the development of the Maldives Police Service.
