Chinese Consul General in Melbourne Fang Xinwen Attends 3rd Victoria Commerce & lifestyle Innovative Expo

On October 4, Consul General Fang Xinwen attended the Third Victoria Commerce & lifestyle Innovative Expo, hosted by Ausfocus International Medial Group. More than 200 guests from various sectors attended the event, including Hon. Paul Hamer,Victorian Minister for Roads and Road Safety, Gabriel Ng MP, Federal Member for Menzies, Victorian Members of Parliament Richard Welch and Aiv Puglielli, and Whitehorse City Mayor Kirsten Langford.

In his remarks, Consul General Fang congratulated the organizers on the successful event. He noted that China’s GDP grew by 4.7% year-on-year in the first half of this year, with the economy maintaining steady progress. China will continue to pursue high-quality development and high-standard opening-up, and will continue to contribute “Chinese opportunities” and “Chinese wisdom” to global economic growth and peaceful development.

China and Australia enjoy highly complementary economies and broad prospects for cooperation. Consul General Fang expressed hope that the two sides would further deepen practical cooperation, expand areas of collaboration, and continue to advance bilateral relations.

Minister Paul Hamer and other guests emphasized the importance of Australia-China relations and Victoria’s cooperation with China, expressing their expectations for deeper exchanges and cooperation in trade, investment, and innovation.
