On September 20, 2024, Vice President Han Zheng met with Chair of the Board of A.P. Moller - Maersk (Maersk) of Denmark Robert Maersk Uggla in Beijing.
Han Zheng said that Maersk has carried out mutually beneficial cooperation with Chinese shipping firms since the beginning of China's reform and opening up, achieving tangible results. China and Europe, including Denmark, enjoy strong economic complementarity, providing a solid foundation for deepening economic and trade cooperation. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China drew a grand blueprint for further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization. China will further expand high-standard opening up, and foster a world-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized. The Chinese side welcomes enterprises from various countries, including Maersk, to deepen cooperation with China and achieve greater success in the country.
Robert Maersk Uggla highly appreciated China's achievements in economic and social development, saying that Maersk attaches great importance to cooperation with China and will continue to further explore the Chinese market and promote mutually beneficial cooperation in areas such as green shipping to achieve more outcomes.
