President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

Recently, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

I. Deng Hongbo was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Federal Republic of Germany, replacing Wu Ken.

II. Cai Run was appointed Head of the Mission and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the European Union, replacing Fu Cong.

III. He Wei was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, replacing Xiong Bo.

IV. Zhang Wenchuan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus, replacing Xie Xiaoyong.
