On April 23, 2025, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Beijing.

Ding Xuexiang said that China and Iran enjoy a traditional friendship and have achieved fruitful results in cooperation across various fields. In October last year, President Xi Jinping met with President Masoud Pezeshkian, providing strategic guidance for the development of China-Iran relations. China is ready to work with Iran to follow through on the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state, enhance high-level exchanges, consolidate political mutual trust, expand practical cooperation, strengthen coordination on international and regional affairs, work for the steady and sustained progress of the China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership, and bring more benefits to the two countries and two peoples.

Seyed Abbas Araghchi said, the friendship between Iran and China is long-lasting and solid. Iran highly values the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and is willing to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China under the guidance of head-of-state diplomacy, strengthen multilateral coordination and interaction, and better safeguard common interests.
