On May 8, 2025, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang met with Chairman of Saudi Aramco's Board of Directors Yasir Al-Rumayyan in Beijing.

Ding Xuexiang said that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping as well as King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, China-Saudi Arabia comprehensive strategic partnership has developed vigorously and cooperation in various fields has continued to deepen. Saudi Aramco has long been an active player in China's reform and opening up as well as its modernization drive, and has itself achieved significant development in the process. Ding Xuexiang expressed the hope that both sides will continue to deepen cooperation in traditional fields such as energy and chemical engineering, actively carry out cooperation on scientific and technological innovation and green transformation, work together to maintain the stability of the global industrial and supply chains and the multilateral trading system, and make greater contributions to China-Saudi Arabia relations and the development of the world economy.

Yasir Al-Rumayyan said that China is an oasis of certainty in this world full of uncertainties.
