On June 13, 2025, President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolences to King Charles III of the United Kingdom (UK) over the heavy British casualties caused by the crash of a passenger flight from Air India.

Xi Jinping said that he was shocked to learn of the crash of a passenger flight from Air India, which caused heavy British casualties. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, Xi Jinping extended deep condolences to the victims and sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and the injured, and wishes the injured a speedy recovery.

On the same day, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council sent a message of condolences to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
