Xi Jinping Accepts Credentials from New Foreign Ambassadors to China

On the morning of July 25, 2025, President Xi Jinping accepted credentials presented by 16 ambassadors to China at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Greeted by the guard of honor standing solemnly in formation outside the North Gate of the Great Hall of the People and the sounding of welcoming horns, the diplomatic envoys, arriving in succession, passed through the flag array, and walked up the white marble stairs.

In front of the giant painting "A Land So Richly in Beauty", Xi Jinping accepted the credentials respectively presented by the diplomatic envoys and took photos with them one by one.

They are: Ambassador of Viet Nam to China Pham Thanh Binh, Ambassador of Panama to China Miguel Humberto Lecaro Barcenas, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to China Jose Julio Gomez Beato, Ambassador of Albania to China Riza Poda, Ambassador of New Zealand to China Jonathan Edward Austin, Ambassador of Papua New Guinea to China Thaddeus Kambanei, Ambassador of Angola to China Dalva Maurĺcia Calombo Ringote Allen, Ambassador of Egypt to China Khaled Nazmy, Ambassador of Nicaragua to China Ramiro José Cruz Flores, Ambassador of Iran to China Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, Ambassador of Chile to China Mauricio Pablo Arriarán, Ambassador of Ukraine to China Olexander Nechytaylo, Ambassador of Benin to China Franck Adjagba, Ambassador of the United States to China David Perdue, Ambassador of Israel to China Eliav Belotsercovsky, and Ambassador of South Sudan to China Morris Simon Batali. Xi Jinping also met with Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Nurlan Yermekbayev.

After the credentials presentation ceremony, Xi Jinping delivered a speech to the diplomatic envoys at the Beijing Hall.

Xi Jinping welcomed the diplomatic envoys to assume their new posts in China and asked them to convey his best wishes to the leaders and people of their respective countries. He expressed the hope that the diplomatic envoys will gain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of China and make positive contributions to deepening friendship and enhancing exchanges between China and the rest of the world.

Xi Jinping pointed out that China has always valued the friendly relations with people from all over the world and is ready to conduct all-round cooperation and strengthen exchanges in various fields on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit. At present, China is advancing the cause towards a strong and prosperous country and national rejuvenation in all respects through Chinese modernization, while its economy maintains steady and positive growth. China will remain committed to expanding high-standard opening up, and share the benefit of its mega-sized market, turning China's new development into new opportunities for all countries and injecting greater certainty into global economic growth.

Xi Jinping emphasized that in the face of accelerating global changes unseen in a century and a turbulent international situation, there is a pressing need more than ever for countries around the world to enhance solidarity and cooperation, rise above estrangement and conflict with a broad vision, and bear in mind the future of humanity with great passion. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. China is ready to work with all countries to firmly uphold the international system with the United Nations at its core and the international order underpinned by international law, promote friendship and cooperation, enhance mutual learning among different cultures, and build a community with a shared future for mankind, so as to jointly create a brighter future for the planet.
