On September 5, 2025, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the World Smart Industry Expo 2025.

Xi Jinping noted that currently, artificial intelligence (AI) technology is rapidly evolving, profoundly transforming human production and lifestyles, and reshaping the global industrial landscape. China attaches great importance to the development and governance of AI and actively promotes the deep integration of AI technological innovation with industrial innovation to empower high-quality economic and social development and help improve people's lives.

Xi Jinping stressed that AI should be an international public good that benefits humanity. China is ready to engage in extensive international cooperation with countries around the world in the field of AI, strengthen synergy and coordination in development strategies, governance rules, technical standards and other aspects, promote the sound and vigorous development of the intelligent industry, and ensure that the achievements of intelligent industry better benefit people in all countries.

The World Smart Industry Expo 2025 opened in Chongqing on September 5, with the themes of "AI+" and "Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicles". The expo is co-hosted by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and the Tianjin Municipal People's Government.
