On September 17, 2025, Vice President Han Zheng met with Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation Fadillah Yusof, who is in China to attend the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, in Nanning, Guangxi.

Han Zheng said that China and Malaysia are good neighbors, good friends, and good partners. In April this year, President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Malaysia, during which the two sides reached important common understandings on building a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future, starting a new journey of China-Malaysia relations. China is ready to work with Malaysia to implement the important common understandings reached by the leaders of both countries, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as politics, economy, trade, and culture, and work for in-depth and solid progress in building a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future.

Fadillah Yusof said that the development of Malaysia-China relations has entered a new stage. Malaysia firmly abides by the one-China principle, and stands ready to maintain close high-level exchanges with China, strengthen cooperation in economy, trade, energy, water resources, tourism, and other fields, and jointly advance the building of a Malaysia-China community with a shared future.
