Recently, President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress:
I. Chen Shaochun was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, replacing Xiao Jianguo.
II. Wang Qing was appointed Head of Mission and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, replacing Hou Yanqi (female).
III. Zhang Maoming was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Nepal, replacing Chen Song.
IV. Ma Xuliang was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Libya.
V. Zhu Kewei (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Burundi, replacing Zhao Jiangping (female).
