On June 22, 2026, the Fourth China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) opened in Beijing. Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.

Ding Xuexiang noted that the current world situation is complex and fluid, and the risk of fragmentation of industrial and supply chains is growing. As President Xi Jinping pointed out, maintaining the resilience and stability of global industrial and supply chains is an important guarantee for the promotion of global economic development and serves the common interests of people of all countries. As a responsible major country, China has effectively leveraged its strengths, including a complete industrial system and a supersized market, worked to keep the arteries of the world economy unblocked, and taken concrete actions to firmly maintain the stability and smooth operation of global industrial and supply chains. Facts have fully proven that China is not only a participant in and beneficiary of global industrial and supply chain cooperation, but also a staunch defender and builder.

Ding Xuexiang stressed that global supply chains, industrial chains and value chains are closely interconnected, and every country is a link in the chain of cooperation. Keeping global industrial and supply chains stable and smooth requires the joint efforts of all parties. He made a four-point proposal. First, enhance mutual trust, avoid politicizing, weaponizing and securitizing economic and trade issues, remove non-economic interference, and jointly safeguard the nature of industrial and supply chains as global public goods. Second, enhance unimpeded trade, uphold and practice true multilateralism, safeguard the multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization at its core, oppose protectionism in the name of green and low-carbon development, actively foster a fair, open and predictable market environment, and promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation. Third, enhance integrated development, work together to promote the deep integration of innovation chains with industrial and supply chains, jointly build an industrial ecosystem featuring complementarity and mutual benefit, and allow the fruits of scientific and technological innovation to benefit more countries and people. Fourth, enhance resource sharing, actively maintain open, interconnected and stable global energy markets, promote mutually beneficial cooperation and the peaceful use of critical minerals, and create favorable conditions for keeping global industrial and supply chains stable and smooth.

Ding Xuexiang then declared the Fourth China International Supply Chain Expo open.

South African Deputy President Paul Shipokosa Mashatile, along with heads of the International Chamber of Commerce, the Global Council of the Sustainable Markets Initiative and other institutions, attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks.

Before the opening ceremony, Ding Xuexiang inspected exhibition halls of the CISCE, and had interactions and exchanges with responsible personnel of relevant enterprises.
