On the afternoon of September 23, 2026, President Xi Jinping left Beijing by special plane for a state visit to the United States at the invitation of U.S. President Donald J. Trump.

Xi Jinping’s entourage includes Peng Liyuan, wife of President Xi Jinping; Cai Qi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee; and Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
