On November 16 local time, President Xi Jinping met in Antalya of Turkey with President Enrique Peña Nieto of Mexico.

Xi Jinping emphasized that China will unswervingly stick to its policy of developing the China-Mexico comprehensive strategic partnership and expanding bilateral all-round cooperation, and stands ready to work with Mexico to translate bilateral consensus into constant actions. The two countries should maintain close contacts between the leaders and high-level officials of both nations, boost bilateral friendly exchanges in all fields, dock the development strategies, increase bilateral trade volume, optimize trade structure and beef up cooperation and dialogues in deepening production and supply chains. Both sides should also play the supporting role of financial cooperation, cultivate bilateral cooperation in investment into a new growth point for bilateral practical cooperation, enhance bilateral cooperation in industrial investment and together push forward the new type of industrialization.

Xi Jinping noted that the relations between China and Mexico, both as major developing nations and emerging markets, are now featured by increasing strategic significance and overall influence. China is willing to, together with Mexico, keep close collaboration in G20 affairs, climate change, Asia-Pacific cooperation, 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and other issues.

Enrique Peña Nieto agreed to Xi Jinping on his comments on Mexico-China friendship, stressing that Mexico is committed to developing the comprehensive strategic partnership with China, and stands ready to intensify bilateral high-level contacts, elevate political dialogue level, and actively deepen its cooperation with China in investment, trade, finance, telecommunications, energy, infrastructure and other fields, so as to better benefit the two countries and two peoples. Mexico will boost coordination and collaboration with China in major international affairs and believes that the G20 Summit to be hosted by China next year will surely achieve a success.
