On November 17 local time, President Xi Jinping arrived in Manila, capital of the Philippines to attend the upcoming 23rd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting.
At around 12:00 a.m. local time, Xi Jinping's special plane arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila. Senior officials of the Philippine government including the Secretary of Finance greeted him at the airport. Philippine youth dressed in traditional costumes presented Xi Jinping with flowers.
Wang Huning, Li Zhanshu, Yang Jiechi and other delegation members arrived by the same plane.
Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Leung Chun-ying and H.E. Zhao Jianhua, Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines, also greeted them at the airport.
The 23rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting is themed with "Building inclusive economies, building a better world". Leaders of all parties present will have discussion on such topics as regional economic integration, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), human resource development and sustainable growth. Xi Jinping will deliver important speeches. During his attendance of the meetings, Xi Jinping will also attend the APEC CEO Summit and deliver a keynote speech and attend the Dialogue between APEC leaders and APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) representatives.
Xi Jinping arrived in Mania after concluding his attendance of the 10th G20 Summit. In the evening of November 16 local time, Xi Jinping left Antalya of Turkey. Senior officials of the Turkish government including Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekçi bade him farewell at the airport.
