On the morning of November 29, 2017 local time, Premier Li Keqiang left Budapest by special plane after attending the Sixth Summit of China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC), and paying the official visit to Hungary. Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén and other senior government officials of Hungary, H.E. Duan Jielong, Chinese Ambassador to Hungary as well as others saw Li Keqiang off at the airport.

During the visit, Li Keqiang conducted extensive contacts with CEEC leaders, and personages of all circles including Hungarian political heavyweights and people from business circle. On the fifth anniversary of the launching of the "16+1 cooperation" between China and CEEC, the construction of the Belgrade-Stara Pazova section of the Budapest-Belgrade railway in Serbia, which is the flagship project of the "16+1 cooperation", officially started, and the section in Hungary announced the open tendering. The initiative of deepening cooperation proposed by China was widely acclaimed by all sides, and new and important cooperative consensus on finance, infrastructure construction, people-to-people and cultural engagement and other areas has been reached. CEEC are uniformly optimistic about China's development prospects and market opportunities, and would like to jointly win better development prospects with China through bilateral cooperation and the "16+1 cooperation", in a bid to bring more well-beings to people of all countries.

Before leaving Budapest on the morning that day, Li Keqiang went to Heroes' Square in the rain and snow, and laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of Hungary.
