On the morning of October 30, 2025, President Xi Jinping left Beijing by special plane for Gyeongju, the Republic of Korea (ROK) to attend the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and pay a state visit to the ROK at the invitation of President of the ROK Lee Jae-myung.

Xi Jinping's entourage includes Cai Qi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee; Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs; and He Lifeng, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council.
