Xi Jinping Wraps up His Attendance at the Second China-Central Asia Summit

On the morning of June 18, 2025 local time, President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing after wrapping up his attendance at the second China-Central Asia Summit.

Upon departing from Astana, Xi Jinping was seen off at the airport by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who led Head of the Presidential Administration Aibek Dadebay, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu, Assistant to the President for External Affairs Erzhan Kazykhan, Mayor of Astana Zhenis Makhmuduly Kassymbek, and other senior officials.

Kazakh Air Defense Forces sent fighter jets to escort Xi Jinping's plane after it took off.

On the way to the airport, representatives of Chinese enterprises and Chinese overseas students lined the streets, waving the national flags of China and Kazakhstan to warmly congratulate President Xi Jinping on his successful attendance at the China-Central Asia Summit.
