Mr. Wang Yanchang, native of Wendeng, Shandong Province, was born on 6 February 1926, former Secretary of the Committee for Discipline Inspection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the People's Republic of China and Member of the MFA Party Committee (vice ministerial level, 1988-Januray 1993). He joined the revolutionary cause in December 1940, entered the MFA in September 1958, and served successively as Head of Secretary Team, Section Chief, Assistant Director, Division Director, Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in Denmark, Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in Peru and Ambassador to Guyana.
