On September 18, 2026, Special Envoy for Pacific Island Countries Affairs of the Chinese Government Qian Bo met with Chief Justice of Samoa Satiu Simativa Perese in Beijing. Qian Bo introduced Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law and China’s policy toward Pacific Island countries, highlighted the strengths of the socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics, and shared the successful experience of the Communist Party of China in governing the country. The two sides also had friendly exchanges on issues of common interest.
