China's APEC Senior Official Tan Jian Holds Briefing for Chinese and Foreign Media at Press Center of the Chinese Delegation in Lima

On November 20, 2016 local time, China's APEC Senior Official and Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Tan Jian held a briefing for Chinese and foreign media at the press center of the Chinese delegation at the 24th APEC Economic Leaders' Summit, during which he briefed on the Chinese delegation's participation in the APEC summit, policies and stances proposed by the Chinese delegation, determination of the Lima Summit to build an open Asia-Pacific economy and the overall plan of accelerating the construction of the Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific (FTAAP) . He also answered questions on the progress of the FTAAP construction, the development of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), relations between the RCEP and the FTAAP and other topics. Deputy Director-General of the Information Department of the Foreign Ministry Wang Xining chaired the briefing.

More than 30 journalists from nearly 20 Chinese and foreign media, including People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China Central Television, China Radio International, Shenzhen TV, Phoenix Satellite TV, TVB, TV Peru, Reuters, Agence France-Presse, Kyodo News, NHK, Asahi Shimbun and Nikkei Net, attended the briefing.
